CLEVELAND – A spokesperson for Cuyahoga County confirms to the FOX 8 I TEAM a sheriff’s deputy has been fired following an investigation into an alleged assault of a juvenile at juvenile court.
The county says it has terminated deputy Dan Comerford.
The incident happened in April, and the case was turned over to the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation. BCI then recently took findings to the county prosecutor for review.
The Cuyahoga Co. prosecutor’s office says the case was reviewed for charges, but there was not enough evidence to pursue felony charges.
