Police identify suspect, offer $5k reward in deadly barbershop shooting

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio-- Investigators first told Fox 8 I-team reporter Lorrie Taylor that a suspect had been identified in the fatal shootings at Chalk Linez barbershop on Harvard Avenue on Feb. 5.

Police confirmed that Douglas Charles Shine, Jr., also known as "Duke" or "Little Duke," is the suspect in question and police are searching for him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact police.

He is considered to be very dangerous and anyone who comes into contact with him should not approach him and should contact authorities. A $5,000 reward is offered for anyone able to assist in apprehending Shine.

At the press conference, police said they believe Shine was only targeting one person and the other people killed and injured were not intended to be harmed.

Three people were killed and three were injured in the shootings.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified those killed as Walter Lee Barfield, 23, of Cleveland; William Gonzalez, 32, of Garfield Heights; and Brandon White, 31, of Warrensville Heights.
