CLEVELAND – The main artery connecting the east and west side of Cleveland reopened early Monday morning.

The George V. Voinovich Bridge was closed for several days as part of the ongoing Innerbelt Bridge construction project.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said contractors were working to reposition and repair concrete dividers and do other work on the bridge stretching over the Cuyahoga River.

People heading into town were detoured along I-490 and I-77.
