HOLMBY HILLS, CA – One of the world’s most famous – or infamous – mansions is up for sale.
TMZ reports that Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion will go on the market sometime in the next month. Playboy Enterprises is reportedly asking $200 million for the home, but there are some Los Angeles real estate experts who doubt it will bring in that much.
The 6-acre estate was built in 1927.
There are two strings attached to the sale, though. The new owner will be required to give Hugh Hefner a life estate, which means he gets to live in the mansion until he dies.
Prospective buyers are welcome to tour the home, but the other catch is this: Hef’s bedroom is off-limits to everyone, so you’ll have to buy without seeing it.
