The Cleveland Indians are in second place in the American League Central Division.
However, the team ranks last in attendance in Major League Baseball for the 2012 season, so the Tribe is trying a new approach to attract more fans down to Progressive Field.
The Indians say they are focused on providing the best ballpark experience for all fans, so they are working to enhance both convenience and accessibility for fans traveling to and from Progressive Field as well as concessions value for the remainder of the 2012 season.
The Indians are partnering with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA), Ohio City Inc. and City of Cleveland, to offer a Free Transportation Weekend for all fans, next weekend, July 20-22.
The team is offering what it calls Fan-Focused Concessions Initiative, including two “Classic Combo Deals” featuring the ballpark’s best-selling individual food items.
Deal #1 includes: One Sugardale all-beef hot dog, one large popcorn and one 16 oz. Pepsi product all for only $8.
Deal #2 includes: One bratwurst and one 12 oz. beer for only $8.
