SEATTLE, WA – The 16-year-old girl who survived a plane crash, and then 2 days in the wilderness of Washington state is telling her story.
Autumn Veatch was flying with her step-grandparents when the plane ran into heavy clouds in the Cascade Mountains. The plane crashed into the wilderness, trapping Leland and Sharon Bowman inside the burning plane.
Autumn couldn’t get to Sharon, but tried to save Leland, burning her hand in the process. Eventually, she knew she had to leave the crash, but before she left she told them that “I loved them and that it would be OK.”
Autumn credits a tip from the survival shows her dad watches…follow the water and live.
Listen to Autumn’s miraculous story, in her own words, in the video above.
