CLEVELAND (WJW) — A child has now died after being shot on Cleveland’s west side Saturday afternoon, police confirmed.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. in a home in the 3200 block of West 30th Street.

Police say the 7-year-old boy was taken via private auto to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later pronounced dead.

“The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation and may involve a self inflicted gunshot wound due to the child’s access to a firearm,” Cleveland police told FOX 8.
