SANDUSKY, Ohio -- A man was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated murder after a Sandusky woman and her two young children were found strangled.

The bodies of Heather Jackson, 3-year-old Celina and 18-month-old Wayne, were discovered in their John Street home on Saturday.

The suspect, Curtis Clinton, 41, who is from the Sandusky area, is due to make his first court appearance in the case on Tuesday morning.

In the past, he has spent a considerable time behind bars.

In fact, he was just released from prison in February.  He was serving time on a 1999 involuntary manslaughter case out of Wood County.

He also was in prison for a short time in 1994 and is a registered sex offender.

Police believe he is a suspect in an unrelated rape case that happened last week.

Clinton also had some misdemeanor cases in Sandusky Municipal Court.

Officers said they spoke to Clinton for an extended time but would not say if he confessed.
