CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio-– The Fox 8 I-Team has obtained Cleveland Heights police body camera video which shows officers searching in the early morning hours of September 9 for one of the suspects involved in the breaking and entering at the Loan Max Title Loan building.

It was a scene that officers are seeing more and more where a stolen vehicle is used to drive through a building.  The vehicle then bangs against an ATM until it becomes loose.  The thieves then load the ATM into another stolen vehicle and take off.

This time, it didn’t go as planned.  The thieves broke into the business but were unable to load the ATM into the vehicle.

According to a police report, the thieves were heard on security tape saying the ATM, “is still too heavy.”

Moments after police were alerted to the breaking and entering, officers arrived and saw a vehicle taking off.  A chase took place, but it wasn’t long before the suspect got out of the vehicle and ran off.

An officer can be heard on his body camera saying he saw one man-- the driver-- run out of the vehicle.

One person, Raymond Bell,  was apprehended a short time later.  The 24-year-old is facing numerous charges, including breaking and entering and safe cracking. Police say additional arrests could be made.

Cleveland Heights police are trying to determine if those involved with this breaking and entering are responsible for the other ones that have taken place recently.
