CLEVELAND – Get ready to adapt your route downtown again, as more closures due to the renovation of the George Voinovich Bridge are on hand for this week, April 13-17, 2015.
Crews will be working on Ontario Street between Carnegie Avenue and East 9th Street throughout the week. There will be a number of lane closures on Ontario heading outbound, or south, each day from 4 a.m. and 3 p.m. Plus, the right lane only will be closed on Ontario inbound, or north, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
I-90 east and west will be closed down Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The closures will generally be between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., but ODOT is going to adjust them as needed to avoid impacting downtown events. I-490 and I-77 are the best alternates to take.
Drivers headed inbound on I-71 north and I-90 east should be alert for shifted traffic patterns when the interstate reopens each morning.
