STREETSBORO, Ohio — Road crews hope to have Interstate 480 westbound open at the Ohio Turnpike before Monday morning work traffic.
Interstate 480 westbound in Streetsboro was closed at the Ohio Turnpike starting Saturday morning to repair the bridge, which was damaged in a crash.
Last month, a truck hit the overpass for the turnpike, causing structural damage to the span.
The Ohio Department of Transportation planned to work 24/7 to repair the bridge and to have it reopened by Monday, according to Streetsboro police.
I-480 westbound traffic will be detoured westbound on state Route 303 to northbound on state Route 91.
Drivers are asked to plan ahead if they have plans to travel in that area.
