I-480 reopens after car gets trapped underneath a semi

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Interstate 480 reopened between Stearns and Lorain roads just after 2 a.m. Friday morning.

A section of the highway was closed in both directions for several hours after a car got trapped underneath a semi truck on Thursday.

Rescue crews had to free the driver who was trapped in the vehicle.

The driver was flown by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital.

Information on the driver’s condition was not available early Friday.
