UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is a leader when it comes to the well being of kids all over Northeast Ohio.  Not only are local families impressed with the care that Rainbow provides, it looks like a national foundation is taking notice, as well.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels has been working hard to fund pediatric cancer research all over the country to the tune of $87 Million since its inception in 1998.  Now, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is the deserving recipient of the $250,000 Scholar Hope Grant for Immunotherapy.

The money awarded on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, will be used to fund Dr. Agne Petrosiute for her compelling new approach in treating solid tumors such as medulloblastoma.

This event was part of a Hyundai Hope On Wheels campaign to honor National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  The campaign will generate $9 million to support 36 pediatric cancer research projects at Children’s Oncology Group (COG) member institutions across the country.
