CLEVELAND, Ohio--- A Cleveland man is charged with 150 counts related to trading child pornography.

Wednesday afternoon, 49-year-old Darin Casper, of Cleveland, was arraigned at Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Charges against Casper include 146 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and one count of possessing criminal tools.

Prosecutors say for the past 12 years, Casper's wife ran a county-certified home day care center from their Baltic Avenue home.

According to the indictment, agents discovered some 1,500 images and videos containing child porn after they seized multiple computers, hard drives and hundreds of CDs and VHS tapes from inside his family home.

Agents served a search warrant at Casper's home on May 4. Prosecutors say his wife voluntarily shut down the day care center just a few weeks before he was charged.

The investigation all started after a man in Utah who was arrested for downloading and sharing porn admitted to emailing disturbing videos other individuals, including Casper.

"Their family has lived there for a long time. I am shocked with what is going on," said neighbor Ruth Conway.

Erma Sayles said, "It's very disturbing to think that his wife was there; she would have to know what was going on."

One person who isn't surprised is Amanda Goddard: "The accusations have been coming out since January."

Goddard said her two nephews went to the day care center for several years. A few months before the indictment came down, Goddard's nephews made some startling accusations against Casper regarding a camping trip they attended over the summer. The chief of police where the alleged incident took place would only say that an investigation related to the indictment is ongoing.

"That guy should never be allowed out of jail again. They were supposed to be people who protect children," said Goddard.

FOX 8 tried contacting Casper's family for comment but no one answered the door.

Requests were also made to the Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services to see if any complaints were made against the day care over the years and whether the proper inspections were completed. A spokeswoman for the agency did confirm that the allegations regarding Goddard's nephews were addressed by a case worker and have been taken seriously.

The judge set Casper's bond at $100,000. He is scheduled to be back in court for a pre-trial hearing on May 23.
