GREEN, Ohio– A portion of Interstate 77 northbound in Green was closed Friday morning for a crash.
The driver of a Ford Ranger lost control near Massillon Road at about 6 a.m. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said the truck flipped onto its roof and slip about 100 yards.
It finally came to a rest under the state Route 619 bridge, where it was fully engulfed in flames.
The two people inside were able to escape before the fire started. They were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
I-77 north was closed for about an hour.
