LORAIN- Lorain police are issuing a warning to homeowners after a dramatic spike in burglaries occurred over the past week. The incidents occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.in the areas of Leavitt Road east to Oberlin Avenue from W.21 Street south to Meister Road.
Many of the victims reported having their back doors kicked in and witnesses saw two young black males dressed in all black attempting to break into residences.
One of the suspects reportedly confronted a resident.
The most recent attempted burglary occurred this morning in the 2700 block of Marshall Avenue around 8:00 a.m. when a resident witnessed the two suspects trying to break into a home.
