MEMPHIS, Tennessee — It is a sight that is becoming all too familiar — a couple passed out from using heroin.
A man in Memphis posted live video on his Facebook page of the couple passed out on the sidewalk. The video shows others gathering around the couple taking pictures and the man who took the video can be heard laughing.
According to WREG, police said the man and woman said they “snorted some heroin” in a nearby Walgreens bathroom.
Someone driving by saw them passed out on the sidewalk and called 911.
The husband and wife were taken to a nearby hospital.
The video was posted Monday afternoon. By Wednesday morning, it had been viewed more than 750,000 times.
Last month, police in East Liverpool, Ohio, posted pictures that showed two people who had overdosed on heroin passed on in the front seats of a vehicle with a four-year-old in the backseat.
