CLEVELAND – If you thought you spotted an alpaca wandering around downtown Cleveland Wednesday, you weren’t seeing things.

Shay, a fluffy alpaca, was walking around for the group Just Us Riders.

The group is walking through 315 cities throughout the country to spread their message.

Here is their mission statement:

To provide a catalyst for the general American public to get involved in taking back our food, our families, our farms, and our freedom. Help build strong local economies through support of families, farms, and small business community. We use nontraditional methods of reaching those who are not currently involved in activism. To provide resources for those engaged in activities related to restoring our food, families, farms, and freedom. To bring awareness to those who have lost their freedoms and rights in America.

Our reporter Jessica Dill met Shay and said he is very soft and friendly.
