DALLAS — A group of Texas women is letting their knitting do the talking.

Their message: “Get your hands off my uterus!”

These women have begun knitting uteruses to send to Governor Rick Perry and other  lawmakers in Austin and Washington.

The lucky recipients of the uteruses are lawmakers who they believe have cast votes cutting funding to women’s health care and limiting access to birth control.

The uterus-knitting project is a nationwide event.

Even some lawmakers who’ve supported women’s health care will get a uterus as a way of saying “Thanks.”
