Jamie Raines is transgender. At the age of 18, he began taking testosterone to begin his transformation, according to Buzzfeed.
To document the process, he took a selfie every day, and the photos were compiled into a powerful time-lapse that shows just how much he really changed. The 1,400 selfies show the shape of his face changing, facial hair growing and more.
Now, he is 21.
“I initially intended to [take pictures] for the first year, but then I didn’t get any facial hair in my first year,” he told Buzzfeed.
The time-lapse video has gone viral with more than 900,000 views. Jamie will be featured in a documentary called “Girls to Men” on Oct. 13.
