I lost 140lbs in 8 months with diet and exercize. High protein, low carb. Started just dancing to music at home for 30 minutes a day then that turned into an hour. Then I took advantage of the gym at work and started using the eliptical for an hour everyday and weight machine. It just melted off. I would have cheat days to reboot my metabolism and jump right back on the diet. I love my new body and am still trying to lose another 40lbs. I went from 315 to 175. I wanted to do this for me but also for my kids. Their dad is a big guy also and it didn't seem fair to them that both of us were too tired to do stuff all the time. My highest weight in Aug. 2011 was 267 . I was diagnosed with severe Degenerative Disc Disease around that time and knew all the extra weight was not helping. I was determined to take some weight off before it came to the point that I would need surgery. Still ended up needing a Lumbar Fusion in Feb. 2012. Still determined to lose weight after that, as of today I am down 140lbs. Brand new back and a new body, I feel great. This is me in high school 310 pounds In January 2013 I started the Curves Complete program. This is weight loss and exercise. I have lost 55 pounds and 47 inches using diet and exercise. A year ago Sept. 25th I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis. The doctors had put me on several different types of medications including prednisone which made me want to eat all the time. I ballooned up to 186 pounds. I felt horrible, short of breath, felt ugly, and was in horrible amounts of pain. I knew I needed to make a change, so I changed what I ate. I started to eat healthy, low fat, low carb, higher protein foods. My energy started to get somewhat better, my pain decreased and I feel a lot lighter. I am now at a healthier 135 pounds and have went from a size 14/16 clothing to now a size 6 ;) I hope this helps someone that is in the same situation I was in.
