Head-on crash in Geauga County claims the lives of two adults and a child

PARKMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Authorities in Geauga County are investigating a car crash that claimed the lives of three people.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 72-year-old man from Warren was driving a Honda Civic north on State Route 528.

A Pontiac G6, driven by a 48-year-old man from Warren, was traveling south on State Route 528.

The highway patrol says the driver of the Honda Civic traveled left of center, striking the Pontiac.

The 72-year-old man and his nine-year-old passenger both died at the scene.

The 48-year-old man in the other vehicle was taken to the hospital where he died.

A portion of State Route 528 — Madison Road — was shut down following the accident.  It was reopened several hours later.

The crash remains under investigation.
