Saturday marks the summer solstice — the first day of summer, the longest day of the year here.
It officially arrived at 6:51 a.m.
People all over the northern hemisphere celebrated Saturday morning. More than 36,000 gathered at Stonehenge. In New York City, thousands marked the occasion with yoga in Times Square.
