CLEVELAND– A small group of people gathered outside the Cudell Recreation Center on Cleveland’s west side Monday evening.
The protesters held a demonstration in reaction to a grand jury’s decision not to indict the two Cleveland police officers involved in the shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice. About 15 to 20 people held signs to express their disappointment.
Shortly before 5 p.m., the demonstrators began marching down the street. Parts of Lorain Avenue near West Boulevard were shut down.

The group later blocked West 130th Street at the Interstate 71 on ramp. As of 6:30 p.m., the roads were back open and most of the protesters had left.
The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday afternoon that Officer Timothy Loehmann and Officer Frank Garmback will not be charged.
