WINSTED, Conn. — A groom who planned a big surprise during the father-daughter dance on his wedding day not only touched the hearts of his guests, but grabbed the attention of a country star.
Andrew Meadows on Friday married his new wife, Kelly.
WFSB reports that more than a year ago, Kelly lost her mother.
“Her father has taken it very hard as well as the rest of the family,” said Andrew Meadows.
So Andrew planned a big surprise.
When Kelly stepped on the dance floor for the father-daughter dance, Andrew took to the mic.
He performed “Your Daddy’s Boots” by Dustin Lynch.
“I guess I just wanted him to really know how much he is loved and that he’s always been a good father to his children,” said Andrew.
The emotional video was posted to YouTube and has been viewed more than 22,000 times.
The video even got the attention of one, Dustin Lynch.
“Hey Andrew – awesome job, congrats,” Lynch posted on his Facebook.
