CLEVELAND — Police say a couple of good Samaritans helped a victim chase down a phone-snatcher Thursday.
According to Cleveland police, a man was talking on his cell phone while walking in the area of W. 65th Street and Detroit Road when one of three juveniles passing by snatched his phone and took off running.
The victim, along with a group of good Samaritans, chased the suspect down the street.
The juvenile eventually dropped the phone. The victim picked it up and used it to take pictures of the juvenile.
Officers driving by stopped and arrested the juvenile. The two other juveniles were taken into custody.
Police are reminding residents to be aware of their surroundings and not put themselves in a vulnerable position while on a cell phone.
