Gas leak in Geauga County causes evacuations, road closures

TROY TOWNSHIP, Ohio-- Workers hit a gas line near Main Market Road and Claridon Troy Road in Geauga County Friday morning.

The Geauga County Sheriff's Office said they are evacuating some residents in the area. SR 422 and SR 700 are closed. It's estimated the road closures will last five hours.

Several fire departments are responding to the scene.
