CHARDON, Ohio — Two of the students shot and killed by a classmate at Chardon High School will be laid to rest this week.
Visitation for Demetrius Hewlin is scheduled from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday at the Burr Funeral Home in Chardon.
His funeral will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary in Chardon.
Visitation for Russell King, Jr. is set for Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home in Chardon.
His funeral will take place on Thursday at the Church of St. Mary in Chardon as well.
Hewlin and King were among five students shot last Monday.
A sixth student was grazed in the ear.
Danny Parmertor, the first victim to die from his injuries, was laid to rest on Saturday.
Joy Rickers, who survived the shooting, was treated and released at the hospital.
Nick Walczak continues to recover at Hillcrest Hospital.
The accused shooter, Thomas ‘T.J.’ Lane, 17, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday on three juvenile counts of aggravated murder, two juvenile counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of juvenile felonious assault.
In the face of the tragedy, numerous vigils and fundraisers have been held to support the victims and families during this difficult time.
