CLEVELAND – The Fox 8 I-Team has learned police have arrested a man in the cold case murder of off-duty firefighter Lt. William Walker.
The man was booked in the city jail Wednesday afternoon.
An aggravated murder charge was filed late Thursday against Chad Padgett. The charge said Padgett did conspire to kill Walker.
Walker was ambushed outside his east side home in November of 2013.
Late last year, Crime Stoppers added $4,000 to the $20,000 reward offered by the Cleveland Fire Union for information leading to an arrest.
Police have not yet given a motive for Walker’s murder.
