OBERLIN, Ohio -- First Lady Michelle Obama will deliver the commencement address at Oberlin College on May 25.
According to a release from the White House, the school had a winning video submission in the "Near-Peer Mentoring College Challenge" the first lady issued last year.
Oberlin’s near-peer challenge video showcased student voices from their Ninde Scholars Program, which matches Oberlin undergrads who provide academic support and college-access services to high school students in Oberlin public schools, according to the release.
"Oberlin’s efforts exemplify the First Lady’s mission to encourage schools to promote near-peer mentorship," the release states.
Oberlin's commencement is set for 10 a.m. on May 25.
