CLEVELAND-- For the first time in seven years, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority is increasing its fares.
The new fares start Sunday. A one-way trip increases from $2.25 to $2.50, and the adult all-day pass goes from $5 to $5.50.
Passes bought before Aug. 14 will be honored and those who purchase monthly passes will see the rate increase in September.
Sunday also marks changes to the bus timetables. RTA bus service to and from North Royalton and the NASA-Glenn Research Center is being discontinued, as is service south of the Green Road Rapid State, south of Severance Town Center and east of Montefiore Home Care.
