CLEVELAND – A Cleveland firefighter was injured while battling an apartment fire on East 147th Street in Cleveland on Friday night.
According to public information officer for the Cleveland Fire Department Larry Gray, a mayday call came in for a firefighter down and he was rescued shortly after that call.
He told his Lieutenant he didn’t feel well while running inside and passed out once he reached the third floor because his mask malfunctioned. He was rescued quickly and was able to walk outside on his own.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
