Fire breaks out in vacant Akron building

AKRON, Ohio – A fire broke out in an Akron building Friday morning.

According to the Akron Fire Department, the fire started shortly before 4 a.m. on North Howard Street. The building was condemned, and no one was living it in at the time.

It was formerly used as an apartment building with storefronts throughout.

No one was injured in the fire.

There is no immediate word on what caused the fire.
