Medina County house fire 7YORK TOWNSHIP, Ohio- The fire at a massive Medina County house on Monday was originally ruled an arson Wednesday morning, according to a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Commerce/Division of State Fire Marshal, Lindsey Burnworth.

But Wednesday afternoon, Burnworth revised that earlier statement, saying the cause is undetermined at this time and the investigation continues.

The Division of State Fire Marshal is still gathering information on the fire and is asking for any information from the public.

Firefighters were called to the 11,000-square foot home on Stone Road in York Township just before 8:30 a.m. Monday. The homeowner suffered minor injuries and crews struggled to fight the blaze because of the brutal cold.

The home and 29-acre property, including lake, baseball field and indoor recreation center, was listed for sale at $2.5 million.

Anyone with information about the fire should call the tip line at 1-800-589-2728.
