Film Crews Close More Roads Downtown

CLEVELAND — Captain America: The Winter Soldier is taking over a lot more of downtown Cleveland.

More road closures will take place today for filming of the superhero blockbuster.

Superior Avenue is closed from Ontario to East 12th.

East 3rd Street is closed from between Superior and Rockwell.

East 6th between Vincent and Rockwell is closed for filming.

East 9th from Walnut to Rockwell is also closed. Drivers are being rerouted to Chester Avenue to East 12th to St. Clair Avenue and back to East 9th.

The major closure will be the West Shoreway between Lake Avenue and East 9th Street from May 31 to June 14. Edgewater Park and the marinas north of the Shoreway will be accessed via West 49th Street. Parking will not be permitted during rush hours on Detroit Avenue between West Boulevard and West 25th Street.
