BROOKLYN, Ohio– A woman accused of robbing three banks has been indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, robbery and theft.
Brooklyn police said that Barbara Stanley presented a note to a teller at Charter One Bank on March 19. The note said to “put the money in the envelope or the suspect would shoot.” Police said Stanley then took off.
Then on March 20, Stanley was accused of robbing a Huntington Bank, then going across the street to Charter One and robbing that bank.
Police said she took over $1,600 from Charter One, but got trapped between two sets of security doors.
She was arrested and police said during questioning, she admitted to all the robberies.
Stanley will be in court April 5.
