Carly Fiorina, 60, of Virginia, is a former Hewlett-Packard CEO, having led the company from 1999 to 2005.
Fiorina went to Stanford University. She began her career as a secretary for a small real estate business, according to her campaign website.
She then led Lucent Technologies’ North American operations before working for HP.
In 2010, she unsuccessfully ran for Senate in California. She is now one of only a few women ever to seek the Republican Party’s nomination for president.
She is married to Frank and has two step-daughters.
