BRUNSWICK, Ohio -- The mother of a four-year-old girl who died in an apartment building fire Monday is still in the hospital recovering.

That's according to an update on a GoFundMe page set up to help the little girl's family.

The page states that Keegan's mother "is not doing as well as they hoped. Her lungs are pretty messed up and will be at the hospital a lot longer. As such it looks like a fair amount of us will not be able to work much this week."

Hospital officials say the mother is still in critical condition.

So far, more than $16,000 has been raised for the family.

Fire officials say the fire broke out at about 10:30 p.m. Monday at the apartment building in the 4200 block of Beverly Hills Drive.

Family members say Keegan's parents were able to get her two sisters out of their apartment -- located on the bottom floor -- during the fire. They were not able to get to Keegan, however.

Keegan's mother reportedly badly injured her arm trying to get through a window to her daughter.

Six other people were treated with smoke inhalation and cuts and bruises.
