CANTON, Ohio--Loved ones and friends remembered the late Canton firefighter who died suddenly  this week while trying to cross busy lanes of Route 8 traffic.

Authorities said Tonya Johnson got out of the SUV after fighting with her new husband.

Loved ones, including Johnson's three children, spoke about their mom on Saturday.

A group gathered outside of Johnson's home in Canton.

"I'm lost man because I ain't got my mom here no more to give me guidance," said Dejon Newell, one of Tonya's sons.

Her sister said there are still a lot of unanswered questions about what happened that day.

Tonya's funeral will be held Monday at the First Christian Church in Canton.
