CLEVELAND — Facebook and Instagram are “back at 100%” after experiencing some technical issues.
Both social media platforms shared the update around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to DownDetector, the issues impacted certain regions across the globe, including the greater Cleveland area.
The Facebook issue appeared to be specific to certain features.
Facebook acknowledged the issue and said, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps. We’re sorry for the trouble and are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Instagram said the same.
Reports started rolling in around 8 a.m. EST Wednesday, with most people saying the problems were focused on photo viewing.
85% of the issues social media users reported to Down Detector in the last 24 hours had to do with photos and images failing to show up or load.
Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms. The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100% for everyone. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
