CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Police continue to investigate cell phone video of a Cleveland teenager being beaten unconscious in Tremont Pointe Sunday afternoon.

According to Mustafa McWhorter, 17, he was jumped over an alleged Facebook beef.

"We do be talking. Kids do talk. And I do be talking on Facebook ... I admit that, but I don't really have as a friend, so I don't know how I was talking to (the attacker)," said McWhorter.

McWhorter said the teenager jumped him out of nowhere.

Cell phone video shows a crowd of onlookers cheering it on.

"There was so many people around. That the story that I got, there was guns around, but I felt like it should have been stopped," said McWhorter's mother Joanne.

So, why didn't anyone stop it?

A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said it started out as a fair fight until McWhorter hit the ground.

"Then some other guys came and just started kicking him and thumping him ... and he didn't get back up, and he wasn't walking, so they dragged him back to the house," said the neighbor.

He was among the adults in the crowd.

"There were grown adults watching this. Yeah, I watched it. I was not trying to get involved. I don't know these kids, they got guns or anything like this. We called the police. That's all we could do," said the neighbor.

While McWhorter recovers from head injuries, police are using the video to identify those involved.

"You don't do that to people. He was probably hating. Because the girls be on me and stuff, and I got a lot of friends. But you don't do that, because there's consequences to everything ... consequences to everything," said McWhorter.

Police have not arrested anyone.
