SANDUSKY, Ohio-- A section of Cedar Point was without power Friday afternoon.

About 9,000 customers lost service in Erie County at about noon, according to FirstEnergy's website. It was restored roughly a half hour later, Ohio Edison said.

A spokesman for Cedar Point said guests were escorted from affected rides.

Electricity went out at the amusement park in May when a car hit a utility pole. That outage left people stranded on rides, including Millennium Force, for more than 45 minutes.
