RALEIGH, NC– A recently-released poll aims to answer the decades-old question: Is “Die Hard” a Christmas movie?

The 1988 movie staring Bruce Willis as John McClane takes place on Christmas Eve and is sprinkled with holiday references.

According to Public Policy Polling, a North Carolina-based polling firm, just 13 percent of Americans think “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie. The results, which were released on Tuesday, said 62 percent thought it was not.  It did not say anything about the remaining 25 percent.

In the same list of results, Public Policy Polling found the Grinch only has a 18 percent favorability rating after his so-called rehabilitation to return Christmas to Whoville and Rudolph is still the most famous reindeer in the primary with 46 percent of people saying he is their favorite.
