A popular actress is revealing what really happened during her fourth pregnancy.
Tori Spelling, 39, talked to Us Weekly about the life-threatening condition that put her and her unborn baby in danger.
Spelling told the magazine that 20 weeks into her pregnancy, she was diagnosed with placenta previa. The condition causes the placenta to cover the cervix and could cause severe bleeding.
According to Tori, she spent 10 weeks in the hospital and four months on bed rest. “I just remember thinking, I can’t leave three children behind,” Tori said.
Spelling became pregnant just one month after delivering her daughter Hattie last October.
After nine massive bleeds, Spelling gave birth to Finn Davey on Aug. 30. Three weeks later, she had emergency surgery after her C-section scar reopened.
In addition to baby Finn, Spelling and husband Dean McDermott are parents to Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 12 months.
