LOS ANGELES, CA – Musician CeeLo Green took to Facebook Saturday evening to talk about a video that’s been circulating on social media: a video that looks as if a cell phone explodes in his face.

The video is shot in a recording studio. Green picks up the phone and it begins to smoke and then explodes as he is knocked to the ground.

The original video has been removed from Instagram, but Green himself took to Facebook Live to let everyone know that he is fine. And that the video was leaked footage for a project he’s working on.

“Just want to let everyone know that I am alive and well and OK,” he says. “Truthfully I’m upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today. What you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project I’m doing called ‘Gnarly Davidson.’ It was supposed to set up and introduce the new character identity.”

He goes on to say that he’ll still be releasing the music and thanks everyone for their love and support and concern.
