Bindi Irwin gave an emotional performance on “Dancing with the Stars” Monday night in a tribute to her late father, Steve Irwin.

Irwin passed away at the age of 44 back in 2006.

Irwin, 17, performed a cover of “Every Breath You Take” with partner Derek Hough.

She reflected on her dad’s death in a prerecorded interview aired before the performance.

“It’s been nine years, and I’ve never really dwelled on that point…I think I’m ready to tell that story,” she said.

Irwin broke down at the end of her performance.

She earned a 28 out of 30, which was one of the highest scores of the night, according to People.
