‘Avengers’ Movie Shot in Cleveland Breaks International Records

CLEVELAND — People all over the world have been watching superheroes duke it out in Cleveland… they just don’t know it.

According to the Huffington Post, ‘Marvel’s The Avengers,’ which was largely shot downtown but set in other areas, had the biggest opening weekend ever in 12 countries.

Those included Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Central America, Bolivia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, New Zealand and The Philippines.

The adventure flick took in over $178 million overseas, the Huffington Post reported.
