An actress was reportedly handcuffed and thrown into the back of a cruiser after kissing her husband in public.

Daniele Watts played Coco in the movie “Django Unchained.”

According to posts on their Facebook pages, Watts and her husband, Brian James Lucas, were accosted by police in Los Angeles on Thursday. Lucas claims police had mistaken Watts for a prostitute.

Watts wrote in a Facebook post: “Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place.”

On his own Facebook page, Lucas said he gave police his ID when they were stopped, but Watts refused. She was then handcuffed and placed “roughly” into the back of the cruiser, he claimed.

When police confirmed who Watts was, they let her go.

According to Variety, officials with LAPD said there was no record of what happened because no one was arrested or questioned.
