(CNN) — Maybe these two should go on tour together.

50 Cent and Jimmy Fallon made strange but decidedly entertaining bedfellows Tuesday night when they took over home shopping network QVC.

The Queens rap star, who referred to himself on the show as his own “favorite rap artist,” plugged his SYNC and STREET headphones.

(His appearance was definitely a hit: at least one of the headphones sold out while he was standing there.)

Not to be outdone, Fallon, who came on to promote his new album “Blow Your Pants Off,” sang a few of the album’s tracks.

One such cut was his Neil-Young-style take on the “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song, and another was his Bob Dylan-like rendition of the “Charles in Charge” ditty.

The late night talk show host also promoted his book, “Thank You Notes 2,” which has shot to the top of the New York Times bestseller list in recent weeks.

QVC told the Hollywood Reporter that the network was definitely on to something by featuring the two pop culture personalities.

“It’s not uncommon to see celebrities on air at QVC,” said QVC exec Doug Rose of past guest stars Joan Rivers and the Kardashian sisters, “but it is rare when two guests with such star power are featured on the same broadcast.”

Hmm … perhaps they should book Jay-Z and Beyonce next.
