School at Ellet CLC in Akron will resume Friday after transformer failure

AKRON, Ohio — Akron Public Schools said Ellet CLC High School closed early Thursday due to a transformer failure.

The failure cut off electrical power to the school building. Akron Public Schools notified families.

FirstEnergy repaired the transformer Thursday afternoon and power is now back on at Ellet; school will resume Friday morning.
